About
I was born in 1980 in the city of Karachi, Pakistan. I spent half my life in Rawalpindi, Pakistan and the other half in Calgary, Canada. Since June 2006, I have been residing in Dublin, Ireland.
In a perfect world, I would have a history degree from Oxford. I would live and travel around the world, especially Asia. I would research Islamic architecture and learn Farsi and Sanskrit. In reality, I work as a computer security analyst for a large American company.
Pakistan, Canada, and now Dublin form the basis of my outlook on life.

i liike..it looks cool…;)

Okay. As always I talk first and think second. Now I know that you are originally from Pakistan. BTW I would also like to learn Farsi, Arabic and Sanskrit but I donot possess much of a linguistic intelligence and I’ve learnt English with some difficulty

Believe it or not, in a perfect world, I would have done the same things with my life & time that you wish for yourself!
Best wishes!

Dear Sir,
I very much enjoyed your blog. I am writing a book on the sufi shrines of Pakistan and the country generally. I was wondering if you could direct me to some of your sources on Sufi poetry? Perhaps you would be willing to share some of your knowledge on Sufism?
I was a newspaper correspondent in Pakistan for four years and am very fond of the place.
Best wishes,
Isambard Wilkinson

Hi Isimbard,
Thanks for your kind comment. I am actually leaving Ireland and moving back to Canada very soon. I will send some information to you via your email address soon. I wouldn’t mind meeting but I am afraid I only have a couple of days left.
